Manifest Release Naming Convention

The manifest.xml follows the format:

• Definition: The device name, ensuring uniqueness, with a length of 9 characters.

2. os_bsp (1)

• Definition: A one-character abbreviation representing the operating system or BSP (Board Support Package).
  • y: Yocto
  • u: Ubuntu
  • d: Debian
  • a: Android
  • w: Windows
  • b: BSP
• Example: y (for Yocto)

3. distro (4)

• Definition: A 4-character abbreviation for the operating system distribution.
  • u004: Ubuntu 20.04
  • y042: Yocto 4.2
  • a013: Android 13
  • l011: QCLinux LE 1.1
• Example: l011 (for QCLinux LE 1.1)

4. version (2)

• Definition: A 2-character software version number, zero-padded for consistency.
• Example: 01

5. kernel version (8)

• Definition: The kernel version number, with a length of 8 characters.
• Example: k0606028

6. chip name (5)

• Definition: The chip model abbreviation, with a length of 5 characters.
• Example: q6490 (for QCS6490)

7. ram size(3)

• Definition: The RAM capacity abbreviation, using numbers and units (e.g., 06g for 6GB of RAM).
• Example: 06g (for 6GB of RAM)

Explanation:

• rsb3720a1: Device name
• y: Yocto (Operating System)
• y042: Yocto 4.2
• 01: Version number
