Using bootup sd disk made by SDDiskTool for ASR-A501.

First, extract the image file, and then use the RKTool tool to generate the "update.img" file.

Open the RKTool tool in the following link, as shown in the picture below:

Double-click the folder "ASRA501A2EG90AIM38DIV110057_2025-04-08 \ rockdev" within "mkupdate. Bat" to run the program, to generate "update. Img" file.

Make an SD card (for example: A laptop with Windows 11 PC, system: 22H2)

For example, the PC used is a laptop. The specifications are as follows:

Please install the DriverAssitant_v5.13 driver first.  Double-click the "DriverInstall.exe" program as shown in the following figure.

After successful installation, click "Confirm" and exit the program.

Prepare a Mirco SD card of 8GB (for example: 32GB) or more and insert it into the PC. Open the following path and double-click "SD_Firmware_Tool.exe".

The Mirco SD card has been successfully produced. After clicking "Confirm", exit the program. Remove the Mirco SD card from the PC.

Upgrade or Recovery ASR-A501.

1. Power off ASR-A501.

2. Insert the upgrade SD card to ASR-A501.

3. Power on ASR-A501. It will automatic enter recovery mode to upgrade system.

4. If upgrade success, you will get the message “Please remove SD CARD!!!, wait for reboot” on screen and debug console.

5. Remove SD card.
